It is officially Summer! Have you planned your vacation already? If the answer is ‘no’, then it is high time you did this. For those still stuck at their tables, we’ve got a bunch of Social Media news that can be handy for marketers who value their time and do not want to surf the net for news.

Facebook gets new lead generation tools

Making more and more direct contacts through Facebook becomes easier since Meta updates lead generation to make it easier for users to connect with brands. Marketers can now run promotional ads using in-stream discount codes. The code will be automatically applied at checkout. If the user does not finish a purchase for any reason, he’ll get an extra notification before the deal expires.

Lead ads can now change question flow based on users’ answers. So it will eventually guide a user to the information he needs. What’s more, Facebook allows overlaying an instant form on a company’s web page to streamline the information-gathering flow. All in all, Meta is looking to help brands engage users and manage their deals. And a lead generation form can be placed on a company’s website, which is connected to a CTA on the page. Those updates can be very handy since Meta is looking to help brands spark a conversation with customers.

Instagram updates Content Collaboration

Instagram is changing Branded Content Ads to Partnership Ads and allowing brands to promote other types of content besides the one with the Paid Partnership label. So, marketers can now promote organic posts including branded content, mentions, people, and product tags, etc., with a paid partnership label. That is a new way for brands to expand their partnership and monetize UGC. Basically, the process remains the same. A creator is supposed to enable ‘Allow brand partner to boost so that other businesses can use their content for promotion. So, brands can initiate campaigns letting creators approve them. The platform is also testing a new process, but it is a matter for further discussion.
