Instagram Introduces ‘Trial’ Feature for Testing Reels Before Full Release
Instagram launched a “Trial” feature to help Reels creators experiment with new content by sharing it with a sample audience of non-followers. Therefore, this feature allows creators to test their content without overposting. Trial Reels are kept private and remain in the drafts section, not appearing on the creator’s profile or Reels tab. After 24 hours, creators can review performance metrics such as views, likes, comments, and shares. If the Reel performs well, they can choose to share it with their entire audience. Alternatively, the content can be discarded if it doesn’t meet expectations, ensuring the creator’s profile remains unaffected.

“Grok” AI Chatbot Now Available to All X Users
X has expanded access to its “Grok” AI chatbot, previously limited to Premium subscribers (less than 1% of users). Grok offers features like answering questions, generating images with Aurora integration, analyzing posts, and producing witty responses in “Unhinged Fun” mode. However, questions remain about AI’s role in social media. While platforms like Meta and LinkedIn have embraced generative AI, critics argue it undermines the human-to-human interaction foundational to social media.
Generative AI’s value lies in its ability to enhance workflows and support experts in fields like law, where it can provide alternative approaches or research support. But it’s most effective when used by knowledgeable professionals who can evaluate its outputs.
