Before the Egg Hunt we are hunting for the Social Media News, that would be useful for your marketing strategy. So, here we go.

Facebook makes Stories eligible for earning

Facebook is expanding its creator monetization program by adding Facebook Stories as a new way for users to earn money. Previously, Facebook combined its in-stream ads and performance bonus programs into a single initiative, allowing creators to monetize videos, Reels, photos, and text posts seamlessly. Now, Stories are included, enabling creators to generate revenue without extra steps. The monetization model is performance-based, rewarding engagement and views rather than ad placement, offering a more consistent income stream. Creators already in the program can start earning from Stories immediately, while others can register to join. Meta is also testing monetization for Threads, reinforcing its commitment to supporting creators across its platforms.

LinkedIn updates Campaign Manager

LinkedIn has updated its Campaign Manager app with new tools to enhance marketing performance and decision-making. The Media Planner now predicts campaign outcomes using AI, while a duplicate ads feature simplifies copying campaigns across accounts. Dynamic UTMs automate tracking link creation for better performance analysis, and improved dashboards offer a clearer view of campaign metrics with best practice insights. Additionally, an AI-driven Campaign Performance Digest provides easy-to-read summaries of campaign strengths and weaknesses. These updates make Campaign Manager more efficient for tracking results, optimizing ad spend, and refining marketing strategies.

Instagram is looking to maximize exposure

Instagram has introduced a new feature that allows users to repost content directly to their followers’ feeds, expanding engagement options beyond Stories. According to an update in Instagram’s help guide, when users share a post or Reel using the repost icon, it will now appear in their followers’ feeds like a regular post, with the ability to add custom text. This feature, similar to retweeting on X, was previously tested in 2022 but did not progress past the initial phase. However, with AI-driven recommendations already influencing more than half of users’ feeds and content suggestions based on friend interactions, Instagram appears more confident in integrating reposts into its algorithm. While the platform initially implemented an algorithm to manage content overload, its current approach seems to prioritize increased engagement by mixing AI-recommended posts, friend interactions, and now reposted content. This move suggests Instagram is shifting further toward an engagement-driven model, where content visibility is shaped more by algorithmic suggestions than direct follows.

Meta Expands Google Analytics Integration

Meta is expanding its integration with Google Analytics, allowing more ad account managers to link their Google Analytics data into Meta’s system. This will provide additional traffic insights to improve ad performance. By connecting via Meta Events Manager, ad managers can use aggregated data from Google Analytics alongside Meta Pixel and Conversions API to gain better context for web traffic. The integration offers flexibility, allowing managers to connect all traffic sources or only Meta traffic. Studies show this integration can improve conversions by 5%, providing Meta’s ad system with more context to enhance campaign performance over time. However, not all advertisers may be comfortable sharing their data with Meta, but the added insights can help refine ad engagement and conversion strategies.
